Senior Engineer - Water Systems

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the technical implementation of cutting-edge water purification systems across India and beyond.

As a senior engineer, your expertise will be instrumental in driving our growth strategy forward. You will assume full lifecycle responsibility for our BioGreen systems, from conceptual engineering to long-term operations & maintenance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • You will design and engineer water purification systems that meet local conditions and regulatory requirements, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
  • In collaboration with our Swiss HQ, you will develop detailed system plans, layouts, and process workflows, integrating field learnings and best practices.
  • You will oversee procurement, supplier engagement, and assembly partner coordination to ensure seamless execution and cost control.
  • Supervising installation, commissioning, and technical handover of systems to operations teams or clients is also an essential part of your responsibilities.
  • Developing operations and maintenance strategies, creating SOPs, and troubleshooting guidelines will help optimize system performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration is crucial to integrate field insights and continuously improve system effectiveness.
  • Staying current on regulatory frameworks, certification standards, and relevant technological advancements is vital for delivering exceptional results.
Key Requirements:
  • You must have at least 7 years of hands-on experience in engineering, designing, and delivering water or process systems at scale.
  • A strong background in process engineering, hydraulics, filtration, pumps, and automation is necessary for success in this role.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, model, and optimize complex water treatment processes is essential.
  • Experience in managing technical suppliers, fabrication partners, and field installation teams is also required.
  • You should be highly detail-oriented with excellent project planning, documentation, and execution skills.
  • Fluency in English (professional level) is mandatory; Hindi or other Indian languages are a plus.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Water Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field is necessary.
