Job Overview

You are invited to apply for a challenging role as a Batch Automation Specialist. In this position, you will play a key part in designing and implementing reliable and scalable batch scheduling infrastructure using UC4 (Automic) and Azure-native solutions.

The Enterprise Batch Management team is responsible for managing over 15 million task executions per month across various platforms including Windows, Unix, Mainframe, and cloud APIs. You will work with the Product Owner to ensure the reliability and performance of the enterprise scheduling platform.

In addition to your technical expertise, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are essential in mission-critical environments. Your ability to drive design, stability, automation, and scalability of our batch scheduling infrastructure will be highly valued.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Product Owner to guarantee the dependability and efficiency of the enterprise scheduling platform.
  • Engineer, configure, and support job scheduling infrastructure across platforms including Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), Windows, Unix, and IBM Mainframe.
  • Own installation, maintenance, and performance improvements for UC4 / Automic Automation (Broadcom).
  • Design scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools like Terraform, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Ensure high availability and resilience in a hybrid cloud architecture.
  • Engage in incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term remediation efforts.
  • Contribute to the optimization of CI/CD processes in Azure DevOps.
  • Create documentation and reusable assets to support platform use and evolution across the engineering organization.

About Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you must possess:

Must-Haves:
  • 5+ years of experience with enterprise job scheduling systems – ideally with UC4 / Automic Automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud infrastructure (2+ years).
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes (preferably AKS) and cloud-native tools.
  • Experience with IaC tools like Terraform.
  • Scripting ability in Unix/Linux shell; database skills with PostgreSQL or Oracle.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure design best practices.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in mission-critical environments.
