Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Emerson. As a key member of our RS engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering project engineering work with best-in-class quality. Your expertise in systems and instrumentation will be instrumental in ensuring the successful implementation of Emerson's Reliability Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure project engineering work is delivered as per project requirements.
  • Participate in staging, pre-FAT, FAT, and i-FAT activities.
  • Installation, commissioning, and solving of Emerson's Reliability Solution systems and products.
  • Software configuration activities based on project requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance to internal and external team members.
  • Support project procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to derive solutions for projects and assignments.
  • Participate in weekly/monthly reviews with key stakeholders and internal partners for opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum years of proven experience in manufacturing environments and online VMS systems engineering.
  • Basic to intermediate level of understanding of communication protocols (OPC/Modbus) and field instrumentation.
  • Basic to intermediate level of understanding of networking protocols.
  • Electronics and/or mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Available for travel domestically and internationally.
  • Solid understanding of MS Office software like MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to work with internal and external team members.
  • Ability to lead change and alignment on new concepts and approaches.
  • Great teammate who builds and maintains positive team member relations.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Possess strong analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering.
  • CAT-I vibration certification.
  • Knowledge on Lean Techniques, ISO Quality System, and Inventory Management.
  • Prior experience on Emerson or Baker Hughes (Bently Nevada) or Shinkawa or Meggitt Prediction and Protection systems.
