Job Description

  • As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for generating accurate customer invoices in a timely manner.
  • You will monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Reconciliation of customer accounts and resolving billing discrepancies is also part of your role.
  • Collaboration with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and issues is essential.
  • Processing customer payments, applying cash receipts, and maintaining accurate records are key tasks.
  • Supporting cash flow forecasting by providing timely AR collection status is crucial.
  • Collaborating with the finance team to identify doubtful debts and prepare provisions is another responsibility.
  • Generating invoices accurately and timely, verifying appropriate approvals and coding is required.
  • Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner is a key task.
  • Coordinating with the procurement team to ensure timely receipt of goods and services is essential.
  • Maintaining accuracy in monitoring vendor payment terms to optimize working capital is a priority.
  • Creation and management of vendor master files (new vendor creation, changes, and compliance checks) is required.
  • Preparing and processing payments, including checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers is a key function.
  • Maintaining accurate records of accounts payable transactions and documentation is essential.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of reconciliation processes (GR/IR, intercompany, and vendor/customer Ledgers).
  • Experience with tax compliance in AP/AR (e.g., GST/VAT).
  • Strong analytical and data entry experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong ERP systems and computer skills.
  • Exceptional organisational and work coordination skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
