Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic financial leader to oversee our company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in financial management, including budgeting, management information systems, final accounts preparation, tax compliance, and internal controls.

This role demands a high level of attention to detail, strategic thinking, and a hands-on approach to financial management, ensuring compliance with corporate governance and legal requirements.

The Financial Director will work closely with senior management to drive operational success while ensuring effective use of technology for financial optimization.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop, manage, and monitor the annual budget process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Prepare and present accurate financial reports and Management Information Systems (MIS) to management, analyzing performance to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the preparation of quarterly, half-yearly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and statutory audits, ensuring adherence to internal controls, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax obligations, including Goods and Services Tax, corporate taxes, and related matters.
  • Implement maker-checker controls for financial transactions and act as the authorized signatory within prescribed limits for banking operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage cash flow and banking relationships for credit facilities and day-to-day operations, controlling the treasury function to ensure sufficient cash flow for operations and effective deployment of surplus funds.
  • Oversee communication with investors, ensuring transparency and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Leverage Enterprise Resource Planning platforms to streamline financial processes and explore and implement Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies to enhance reporting, forecasting, and overall financial operations.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Chartered Accountant qualification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 10-12 years in finance or accounting, with at least 7-8 years in a senior role.
  • Proven expertise in budgeting, tax management, auditing, and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with Enterprise Resource Planning platforms.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications in finance.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • A strong command over the English language.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • An ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

  • The employee must commute to work using their own vehicle.
  • Working days will be from Monday to Saturday, with the 2nd and 4th Saturdays off.
  • Official working hours will be tentatively from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
