Senior Legal Specialist

About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled legal advisor to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of high-impact legal work across the board, from client negotiations and intellectual property protection to risk management and data privacy compliance.
- Review, draft, negotiate, and vet commercial agreements (including SaaS, licensing, data sharing, master services agreements, non-disclosure agreements, etc.)
- Support in ensuring compliance with data protection laws (data protection and digital privacy, general data protection regulation, California consumer privacy act, etc.)
- Contribute to internal compliance, intellectual property protection, and risk management frameworks
- Liaise with external counsel, partners, and regulators when needed
- Stay updated on evolving legal and regulatory landscapes and proactively inform internal stakeholders
- Assist in developing and maintaining internal legal processes and templates
- Provide strategic legal inputs during product development and client onboarding
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel (technology, media, and telecom, fintech, or general corporate)
- LL.B. required (LL.M. or certifications in data privacy/ fintech are a plus)
- Strong skills in legal drafting and negotiation
- Understanding of software licensing, technology transfers, and data privacy
- Clear, confident communication—able to simplify legal concepts for non-legal teams
- Ability to manage multiple legal matters autonomously
Expected Outcomes
- Month 1: Familiarization—Get up to speed on our business, products, and legal operations.
- Months 1–3: Ownership—Take ownership of standard contracts (NDAs, MSAs, vendor agreements).
- Month 4 Onwards: Expertise—Lead end-to-end negotiations for routine contracts.
