Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
As a software engineer at Altair Engineering, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and delivering complete user stories with minimal supervision. You will collaborate on architecture and integration requirements across multiple teams and work closely with distributed teams across the world to ensure that the Altair One TM platform meets our quality guidelines.

- Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications.
- Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.
- Showcase POCs enabling use of new frameworks/technologies.
We are looking for a highly skilled software engineer who possesses excellent programming experience in Python, a good understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application, and exposure to SQL/NoSQL databases. A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks is essential.

- Good understanding of microservice architecture and DevOps practices.
- Experience with developing and deploying cloud-native services.
