What We're Looking For:
As a Senior Software Engineering Manager with expertise in cloud native development, you'll be flexible and open to working in different technologies if required. You'll collaborate with the brightest engineering minds, be customer-focused, and ready to work at a fast but sustainable pace. You'll help scale our critical cloud microservices required by Citrix Client Apps.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 8-10 engineers with varying degrees of experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Own and manage the product engineering roadmap & releases, prioritizing performance, scalability, and quality.
- Debug and handle complex technical design discussions across various stakeholders.
- Understand and enforce best security practices.
- Track and report project and feature status to executive level.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Actively supports, communicates and enforces the company's software engineering processes and standards.
- Contribute to Quality and Process improvements throughout the development life cycle.
- Manage team skills and actively recruit top talent.
Basic Qualifications:
- BE/BTech in Computer Science or related field with 12-15 years of overall software development experience.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in engineering management.
- Must have delivered 2-3 large projects in production and well-versed with handling of post-production customer escalations.
- Very good understanding of Cloud Native development.
- Experience in Azure or AWS cloud platform.
- Development experience in one or more of these languages: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript. Experience in Angular framework.
- Experience with Agile development methodology (preferably scrum).
- Excellent communications skills and able to lead a team of highly technical individuals.
- Experience/Exposure to development tools (GitHub Co-pilot), Automation testing (Cypress) and CI/CD tools (GIT, Jenkins, JIRA etc.).
