Metallurgical Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgical Expert to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for making authoritative decisions and recommendations that impact extensive engineering activities.

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills are essential in English.
  • Collaborate with top-level engineers and officers from other organizations and companies to manage critical issues.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advisory and consulting services as a recognized authority in broad program areas or intensely specialized fields.
  • Contribute directly to value creation by performing job-related tasks.
  • Travel globally for short-term assignments at KBR offices and project sites as needed.

Desired Skill Sets

  • Demonstrated knowledge in materials, corrosion, coatings, insulation, and cathodic protection domains is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience in material selection and corrosion deliverables, preparation of corrosion control monitoring, coating, insulation & PFP material specs is required.

Cathodic Protection Design Engineering

  • Prepare cathodic protection system-related engineering deliverables and site/construction coordination reviews.
  • Design and detail engineering of CP systems for pipelines, internal/external tanks/vessels & bullets, plant piping, and equipment.

Corrosion Integrity, Inspection Planning

  • Evaluate chemical treatment (corrosion inhibition, oxygen scavengers, biocide) for corrosion control.
  • Undertake material corrosion audit (MCA) that includes corrosion control and corrosion monitoring.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of API 580/581 qualitative/semi-quantitative/quantitative approaches for Corrosion Risk Assessment Study (CRAS).
  • Develop Corrosion Management Plans (CMP), Corrosion Loop Diagrams (CLD), damage mechanisms narratives, and risk drawings.
