Azure Database Specialist

Azure database specialists play a pivotal role in designing, implementing and maintaining databases on Microsoft's Azure platform. Their expertise ensures optimal performance, troubleshooting of issues and recommendations for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Design and Implementation: Design and implement databases using Azure SQL services to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues to maintain high availability and prevent downtime.
  • Optimization and Configuration: Optimize database configuration for improved scalability, security and performance.
  • Data Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement data backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity in case of data loss or corruption.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve overall database management.

Required Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS and Always On is required. Experience with cloud-based platforms and automation tools is highly desirable.
