Piping Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned piping design professional with strong expertise in piping, HVAC design and 3D modeling tools. The ideal candidate will have experience working on complex engineering projects and should be open to opportunities across various industries.

Job Summary:

  • To lead piping design and layout activities for complex engineering projects.
  • To prepare and review piping GA drawings, isometrics, MTOs, and support drawings.
  • To coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including process, structural, mechanical, instrumentation, etc.
  • To perform clash detection and resolve design issues using advanced 3D modeling tools.
  • To ensure compliance with project specifications, codes and industry standards.
  • To provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers.
  • To handle global client interactions professionally, capturing requirements and delivering effective design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Piping Design and Layout: Lead the design and layout of complex piping systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes and industry standards.
  2. Drawings and Documentation: Prepare and review piping GA drawings, isometrics, MTOs, and support drawings.
  3. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  4. Clash Detection and Resolution: Perform clash detection and resolve design issues using advanced 3D modeling tools.
  5. Technical Guidance and Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers.
  6. Client Interaction: Handle global client interactions professionally, capturing requirements and delivering effective design solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma, Degree in Engineering or relevant qualification.
  • Experience: 4–12 years (or relevant senior-level experience) in piping design.
  • Background in Marine/Offshore projects is highly desirable.
