At Equifax, we're looking for a Distributed Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our large-scale systems.
In this position, you'll be responsible for managing system uptime across cloud-native and hybrid architectures. You'll build infrastructure as code (IAC) patterns using technologies like Terraform and scripting with cloud CLI. Additionally, you'll create CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying applications and cloud architecture patterns.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing system(s) uptime across cloud-native and hybrid architectures.
- Building automated tooling to deploy service requests into production.
- Solving problems and triaging complex distributed architecture service maps.
- Building runbooks that are comprehensive and detailed to manage detect, remediate, and restore services.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience developing and/or administering software in public cloud environments. They should also possess cross-functional knowledge with systems, storage, networking, security, and databases. A strong background in system administration skills, including automation and orchestration of Linux/Windows using Terraform, Chef, Ansible, and/or containers is required. Furthermore, they should have experience working with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling and practices.
