Senior SQL Server Database Administrator - Azure

We are seeking a seasoned Senior SQL Server Database Administrator with extensive experience in Azure SQL Server and Azure SQL Subscription management.

This role is ideal for professionals located in India who can work remotely with flexible hours.

  • Manage and administer SQL Server databases on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Plan, implement and oversee Azure SQL Subscription services for high availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing and monitoring.
  • Configure disaster recovery, backups and high availability solutions.
  • Implement and monitor security policies, access controls and compliance standards.
  • Plan and execute database migrations from on-premises SQL Server to Azure SQL.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support continuous integration/continuous delivery and database lifecycle management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure SQL Server and Azure SQL Subscription management.
  • Strong experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting database issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation.
