High-Performance Search System Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Search Index Developer with a strong background in designing and implementing high-performance search systems. Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing distributed search clusters, as well as expertise in in-memory databases or graph databases.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of data distribution, sharding, caching, and graph traversals for efficient query performance. They will also be proficient in DevOps tools, including automation scripts for deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement high-performance search systems using distributed search technologies such as Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
- Develop and maintain efficient indexing strategies to meet SLAs for critical production systems.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams on application integration and system administration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to search index performance and availability.
Requirements and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in developing and maintaining search systems, with a focus on performance optimization.
- Extensive experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, in-memory databases (e.g., Redis, Memcached), or graph databases (e.g., Neo4j).
- Advanced knowledge of data distribution, sharding, caching, and graph traversals for efficient query performance.
- Proficient in DevOps tools, including automation scripts for deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to search index performance and availability.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and scripting.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Database – Specialty, or Elastic Certified Engineer certification preferred.
