Key Performance Computing (KPC) Expert

Job Overview:

This is a critical role in the management and administration of large-scale computing systems, responsible for ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implementation of High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters, including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
  • User account management for HPC onboarding and offboarding, involving Amazon Machine Image (AMI) accounts creation and maintenance.
  • Installation, configuration, and upkeep of Linux operating systems on HPC clusters, as well as upgrades to the platform and related components.
  • Collaboration with providers to ensure seamless support for HPC components and native services, such as AWS RES and CycleCloud.
  • Active Directory management, focusing on compliance controls, regular audits, and corrective actions.
  • Coordination with other teams in testing and migrating/installing engineering applications to the platform.
  • Management of job schedulers like Slurm or LSF, and utilization of node provisioning tools like Werewolf.
  • Troubleshooting system issues and providing technical support to users.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
