Senior Design Engineer – Pressure Control Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to lead the design and development of high-quality pressure control equipment.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required); Master's preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering in the oil & gas industry
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with API 6A product design and certification processes
  • Proficiency in INVENTOR, VAULT, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, MathCAD, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, API 6A, and API Q1 standards is a must
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, heat treatment, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop high-quality pressure control equipment per API 6A standards
  2. Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and BOMs using Inventor, Vault or similar CAD tools
  3. Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and other mechanical calculations to validate designs
  4. Ensure compliance with API 6A, ASME, and customer-specific requirements
  5. Cross-functionally collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sales, and supply chain teams
  6. Provide engineering support for prototype testing, failure analysis, and continuous improvement efforts
  7. Participate in and/or lead design reviews, DFMEAs, and engineering change processes
  8. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of internal engineering standards and best practices
  9. Assist in preparing technical documentation, including material specifications, test procedures, and certification packages
