Treasury Specialist Role

 

  • Manage the company's daily cash flow across various projects, optimizing fund utilization to minimize potential risks.
  • Facilitate the issuance of Capital Expenditure Letters of Credit (Capex LCs) and manage Buyer's Credit/Supplier's Credit arrangements to ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
  • Invest surplus funds in short-term debt mutual funds and fixed deposits to maximize returns while maintaining liquidity for future business needs.
  • Ensure timely interest and principal repayments for project loans, adhering to regulatory compliance and minimizing potential penalties.
  • Maintain accurate records of advances and Performance Bank Guarantees (BGs) received from vendors/BGs issued to third parties, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Oversee the management of Inter Corporate Deposit (ICD) issuance, limit monitoring, and documentation to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare treasury accounting entries on a daily basis to ensure accuracy and transparency in financial reporting.
  • Lead foreign exchange hedging activities and related bank documentation to mitigate currency risk and optimize exchange rates.
  • Drive Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance for all bank accounts and implement digital initiatives to improve efficiency in transactions and reduce costs.
  • Liaise with banks on operational matters and maintain strong working relationships to facilitate seamless transactions and efficient communication.
  • Timely submission of treasury-related details, audit coordination, and response to audit queries to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize risks.
  • Prepare monthly Treasury Management Information System (MIS) reports, including analyses on loans, interest payments, short-term investments, and hedging exposures to inform business decisions.
  • Support new project financing activities and loan documentation to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Accounts, Projects, Procurement) for efficient treasury operations and minimize risks associated with cash flow management.

Requirements

 

  • Strong knowledge of treasury operations, finance, and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to liaise with banks and internal stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, with attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and other financial software.
