Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures across enterprise environments. This role is critical to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational data by defending against network-based threats and vulnerabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, SNMP) and experience with IDS/IPS tools (e.g., Snort, Suricata, Cisco Firepower). They should also be familiar with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm), VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN), and secure remote access.

The selected individual will lead network segmentation and zero-trust initiatives to reduce attack surface and stay informed on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies. Additionally, they will develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring secure configuration and patching of routers, switches, and other network devices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate must have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in network security engineering or architecture.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex network environments.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
