Senior Operations Expert

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our investments team.
This role will be based in Mumbai and requires a minimum of three days of office work per week.
Main Responsibilities:
- Act as lead specialist for the Mumbai team to support their daily tasks.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including fund administrators, investment managers, and auditors.
- Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Work closely with colleagues in other locations to drive results.
- Review financial statements and fund reports.
- Execute investor capital calls and distributions.
- Support the audit of funds.
- Have a strong understanding of fund structures and portfolio solutions to assist Mumbai team members.
- Emphasize risk management by building controlled processes and a proactive oversight model.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date supporting procedures and train team members accordingly.
- Conduct research on Investment Regulations and Fund Structures, interpret key points, and summarize them clearly.
- Cover work items for team members during absences.
- Encourage team members to challenge existing processes for added value.
- Lead reporting (regulatory, expense, etc.), regulator filings, and oversight responsibilities while meeting deadlines and SLAs.
- Ensure sufficient scrutiny and reconciliation of service provider calculations to identify issues.
- Support NAV monitoring for the Dublin team.
- Support exception reporting for cash breaks, position breaks, pricing, trade settlements, etc.
- Support Financial Statement audits.
- Monitor delivery timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
- Oversee team responsibilities according to SLAs and KPIs.
Key Requirements:
- Funds or Asset Management experience within a leading organization (at least 6 years) with a solid understanding of core Fund Operations.
- Knowledge of various asset classes, including securities, loans, derivatives, and pooled funds.
- Private Markets / Private Equity Fund accounting experience.
- Proactivity and a 'right first time' approach.
- A high degree of attention to detail and a strong academic background in Accounting/Finance/Economics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong IT skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and adaptability to new technologies.
- Project management skills desirable.
