Procurement Specialist - Raw Materials Sourcing

This role involves overseeing the acquisition of raw materials essential for production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and knowledge of the raw materials market.

  • Analyze market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities in the raw materials market.
  • Develop strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency in raw materials sourcing.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Strategy Development:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
  • Negotiate favourable terms and conditions with suppliers.

Cost Management:

  • Manage the procurement budget for raw materials and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to reduce procurement costs.

Supplier Management:

  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and monitor their performance.
  • Address any issues or concerns promptly.

Inventory Management:

  • Work closely with the Inventory Management team to ensure optimal stock levels of raw materials.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize wastage and reduce excess stock.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on raw materials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience in the Pesticide industry is preferred.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to raw materials procurement.
