Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in designing and developing innovative material handling systems for steel plants and power plants.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of major material handling equipment, including belt conveyors, silos, hoppers, vibrating feeders, screens, dust extraction systems, trippers, belt feeders, belt weighers, magnetic separators, bucket elevators, reclaimers, stackers, barge loaders, barge unloaders, truck loading/unloading stations, crushers, pneumatic conveying systems, diverters, slide gate valves, and lifting devices (hoist and EOT cranes).

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing process flow diagrams, schemes, and layouts for material handling systems
  • Preparing profile drawings, calculations, and general arrangement drawings for belt conveying systems
  • Developing technical specifications for material handling equipment
  • Preparing bill of quantities (BOQ) or bill of materials (BOM) for conveying systems
  • Procurement engineering of material handling equipment
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5-15 years of experience in design engineering
  • Expertise in Auto-Cad and MS-Office software
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (IS/CEMA/ISO)
