We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of plumbing, HVAC, and firefighting systems for various projects.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and firefighting systems for residential, commercial, and industrial developments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plumbing System Design: Design appropriate plumbing systems for the project, taking into account factors such as pipe sizing and equipment selection.
  • Calculations and Coordination: Perform calculations as directed by senior engineers and coordinate with other in-house disciplines to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Plumbing System Layouts: Design and develop plumbing system layouts, including pipe sizing and equipment selection.
  • International Plumbing Codes: Knowledge of International Plumbing design codes is essential for this role.
HVAC Design/BIM:
  • Heat Load Calculations: Conduct heat load calculations using tools like HAP to determine heating and cooling requirements for buildings.
  • HVAC System Design: Design HVAC systems, including water-cooled and air-cooled chiller plants, Variable Refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, Direct Expansion (DX) systems, etc.
  • Equipment Selection: Select equipment based on project specifications, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Ventilation Requirements: Calculate ventilation requirements, pressurization needs, smoke management systems, pump head calculations, external static pressure, and sizing ducts and pipes.
Firefighting Systems Design/BIM:
  • Fire Protection System Design: Design fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and hydrants, according to national and international codes.
  • Sprinkler System Calculations: Perform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler systems, ensuring proper coverage and compliance with safety standards.
  • Fire Protection System Submittals: Review fire protection system submittals and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (B.E/B.Tech/master's in mechanical).
  • Experience: 8 to 15 years of experience in Plumbing/ HVAC & Firefighting.
