Design Engineer - Equipment Development

We are a forward-thinking organization dedicated to creating innovative food solutions. Our Gen4 precision-structuring platform enables us to create plant-based chicken entirely from plants.

Our team of passionate engineers, builders, and creators work together to develop sustainable food systems. As a Design Engineer - Equipment Development, you will play a key role in designing and developing novel food equipment that advances processing technologies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing equipment designs from prototyping to production scale.
  • Collaborating with the product development team to optimize equipment efficiency and reduce production costs.
  • Creating material characterization equipment and quality control tools to support product development and maintain quality standards.
  • Performing engineering calculations, CAD designs, simulations, and analysis to ensure the structural integrity and performance of mechanical components.

You will be working with a talented team that shares your passion for creating food systems that are kinder, healthier, and more sustainable.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Design, or Applied Mechanics and related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in New Product Development (NPD), Machine Design, and/or Complex assembly design, and simulation.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA analysis tools.
  • Proficient in GD&T, DFM, DFA, and understanding of manufacturing machines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
