Job Description

We are seeking an ESG Finance Strategic Lead to drive our external disclosures and ensure the highest standards of governance are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic approach to ESG finance, ensuring alignment with Group Sustainability goals and objectives.
  • Lead the design and delivery of external ESG reports, including annual reports and sustainability reports.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the Group to ensure effective communication and implementation of ESG strategies.
  • Manage and oversee the development of new datasets and reporting requirements for ESG finance.
Requirements
  • A qualified accountant with a deep understanding of HSBC's strategy, operations, and structure.
  • Excellent knowledge of ESG and sustainable finance developments, including transition to a low-carbon economy.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to work without direct authority at senior levels.
  • Ability to represent the Group's views credibly in external forums involving other major international banks and regulators.
