Lead the India Strategy for a Leading STEM Professional Membership Body

A dynamic operational leader is sought to oversee the in-country delivery of the India strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a talented team of 11, overseeing operations, governance, and compliance for three entities, and ensuring seamless collaboration with international colleagues.

About the Role
  • Operate as legal representative and Director for all Indian entities, ensuring local laws and internal policies are upheld.
  • Oversee budgeting, team management, financial planning and reporting across all business units.
  • Lead and develop the Bengaluru-based team; mentor managers and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Deliver against a mission-led strategy focused on professional development, engineering excellence, and social impact.
  • Liaise with international teams to ensure operational alignment.
  • Represent the organisation with confidence in legal, governance, and business forums.
Your Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven operational leadership in India - ideally in a professional membership body, association or similarly regulated environment.
  • Exceptional understanding of governance, compliance, and HR practices.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L.
  • Ability to drive strategy with warmth, rigour and agility.
  • Line management experience with the gravitas to lead national delivery.
