Job Description

Internal Audit & Compliance Role

As an Assistant Manager in this field, you will be involved in audits and financial reviews across our organization. You will plan, execute, and coordinate with external auditors. You will also conduct financial reviews of our supported projects, ensuring proper fund utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Active involvement in audits and financial monitoring reviews conducted throughout the year.
  • Planning and attending meetings for internal audit reports with external audit firms.
  • Preparing annual budgets and audit coverage scopes for engagements.
  • Conducting independent financial reviews of projects, identifying areas of concern, and ensuring fund utilization.
  • Guiding teams and providing practical solutions to issues encountered by stakeholders.
  • Streamlining processes and assisting in rolling out SOPs as required.
  • Rigorous follow-up with stakeholders for submission of data for closure of open audit paras.
  • Maintaining real-time updated MIS for open audit paras and sharing data with stakeholders.
  • Continuous review of IT applications and systems used across organizations.
  • Interpretation of statutory/regulatory changes and assisting in defining policies.
  • Preparing reports and presentations for management as required.
  • Maintaining cordial professional relationships with External Auditors and other agencies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of financial regulations and auditing principles. You should be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in auditing or accounting (e.g., CA, CFA).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
