Big Data Developer Job Description

As a Big Data Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining complex data systems. Your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and testing big data ecosystem components and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop: Create robust and scalable big data frameworks and features for business operations.
  • Test and Implement: Develop, test, and implement big data solutions using technologies like Hive, MapReduce, SQOOP, Spark, HDFS, HBase, Kafka, Impala, and Flume.
  • Provide Technical Support: Offer technical assistance and quality control to projects across all phases.
  • Project Management: Plan, report, and direct the work of others across multiple implementation projects concurrently.
  • Data Analysis: Understand data structure, storage technologies, and how to fetch data from multiple tables.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: 7-10 years of experience in Data Warehouse or Reporting Solutions, with skills in Python, Spark, Hive, Impala, Hadoop Architecture, and SQL Query.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Data Understanding: Strong understanding of data flow, process, and transformation.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledge of Linux, Banking domain experience, In-memory computation, and experience in maintaining technical code standards and version control systems.
