Senior Java Developer Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java developer to join our team. This role requires a skilled software engineer with extensive programming experience in Java 17+, Spring/Spring Boot, and strong expertise in AWS services, particularly in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Development & Operations: The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development and operations of existing system landscapes, ensuring maintainability, reliability, and scalability within an Agile environment.
  • Java & AWS Development: Proficiency in Java 17+ with Spring / Spring Boot is required, along with experience in developing and utilizing AWS services, focusing on Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Quality & Best Practices: Strong adherence to clean code principles, participation in pair programming, and code reviews are expected. Maintaining high-quality code aspiration and conducting load/performance testing are also crucial.
  • Agile Collaboration: The successful candidate must actively participate in Scrum and SAFe team events, working with an Agile Mindset as a strong Team Player, demonstrating a willingness to take on responsibility.
  • Tooling & Systems: Experience with applications like Kafka, Elastic Search, Splunk, Docker, Git/Gitlab, SonarQube, and JIRA/Confluence is essential.
  • DevSecOps: Applying experience in DevSecOps practices is a requirement.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:

  • Programming Experience: Several years of programming experience in Java 17+ with Spring / Spring Boot.
  • AWS Expertise: Experience in developing and using AWS services, especially in the area of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Database & Frontend: Proficiency in SQL, and experience with Angular 15+.
  • Quality & Practices: Strong adherence to clean code principles, experience with pair programming, and code reviews.
  • Testing & DevSecOps: High-quality code aspiration, experience in load/performance testing, and DevSecOps.
  • Tooling: Proficiency with Kafka, Elastic Search, Splunk, Docker, Git/Gitlab, SonarQube, and JIRA/Confluence.
  • Agile: Experience in Agile product development according to Scrum/SAFe, coupled with an Agile Mindset and a team player attitude with willingness to take on responsibility.
