Faculty Positions in Psychology

NMIMS University invites applications for the post of Professor or Associate Professor at its Mumbai Campus.

The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and industry experience in the field of Psychology.

  • A Ph.D. Degree with First Class Master's Degree in Psychology is essential, along with experience of ten years in teaching, research, industry, and/or profession at the level of Professor/Associate Professor/Reader or equivalent grade.

Alternatively, candidates from industry and profession can apply with a First Class Master's Degree in Psychology and significant professional work recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D. Degree in an appropriate branch, along with industrial/professional experience of ten years at a senior level comparable to Associate Professor/Reader.

Additional requirements include:

  • Published work such as research papers, patents filed/obtained, books, and/or technical reports.
  • Experience guiding project work, dissertation of postgraduate or research students, or supervising R&D projects in industry.
  • Capacity to undertake/lead sponsored R&D, consultancy, and related activities.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated leadership in planning and organizing academic, research, industrial, and/or professional activities.
  • Evidence of service to the university, profession, and community.
  • Evidence of curriculum development.

Professor Position:

The candidate should have a Ph.D. Degree with First Class Master's Degree in Psychology and experience of eight years in teaching, research, industry, and/or profession at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade, excluding the period spent on obtaining the research degree.

Alternatively, candidates from industry and profession can apply with a First Class Master's Degree in Psychology and significant professional work recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D. degree in an appropriate branch, along with industrial/professional experience of eight years in a position equivalent to the level of Lecturer/Assistant Professor.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Teaching, research, industrial, and/or professional experience in a reputed organization.
  • Published work such as research papers, patents filed/obtained, books, and/or technical reports.
  • Experience guiding project work, dissertation of postgraduate or research students, or supervising R&D projects in industry.
