Corporate Actions Senior Analyst

At Talent Toppers, we are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Actions Senior Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and processing all corporate events that occur, ensuring that the underlying beneficial owners receive the level of service in both accuracy and timeliness that owners would get if assets were held in their own name.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process mandatory and voluntary corporate actions on Managed Funds, Equities, and Fixed Interest products within Key Performance Indicator targets.
  • Allocate coupon and dividend income, maturities, fund closures, non-income corporate action events such as rights issues, takeovers, stock splits, conversions, share purchase plans, and IPOs.
  • Sources all relevant information from fund managers, data feeds, Bloomberg, custodian agents, or relevant market exchange websites to ensure corporate actions are processed correctly.
  • Liaise with the Client Relationship and Support team to ensure all relevant information is communicated effectively to and from underlying clients.
  • Maintain internal stock and cash ledger control accounts and clear them on a daily basis.
  • Reconcile client holdings versus agent holding to ensure they match during a corporate action.
  • Work with the IT department to develop system enhancements to improve the efficiency and accuracy of corporate action processing.
  • Collaborate with the management and other team members to enhance processes for greater efficiencies and controls within the business.
  • Communicate effectively with 3rd parties, such as fund managers, custodian agents, and brokers, to ensure everyone has a clear understanding of both incoming and outgoing corporate event notifications.
  • Test team process-related functions in context of project releases and general regression testing where required.
  • Manage CA BAU to ensure all aspects are delivered within SLA/KPI requirements, MI reporting, team checklists, platform issue log management, email inbox management.
  • Manage team Compliance and Regulatory requirements to ensure they meet these requirements as set out in the External Audit, Internal Audit, Internal Monitoring Review, and any other regulatory requirements.
  • Work alongside the CA manager to motivate and engage the team in order to achieve company and team goals.
  • Deliver tailored staff development plans in regular one2ones alongside CA manager.

Requirements:

  • Corporate actions analysts should have a background and interest in financial markets, ideally with exposure to corporate actions.
  • Tertiary qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Operations is required.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Corporate Actions is required.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (including MSSQL Server 2008) skills required.
  • Attitude to execute, deliver, and succeed.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proven communications skills.
  • Ability to solve Financial Market and IT System issues.
  • Enthusiastic and able to perform role autonomously while being a team player and contributing to the overall success of the team and wider business.
