We are seeking an experienced data engineering specialist to lead our data architecture efforts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of designing, building, and operating scalable on-premises or cloud data platforms.

The successful candidate will analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

A key responsibility of the role is to design, develop, and implement data engineering solutions using Databricks on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

This includes creating and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes that support analytics and machine learning initiatives.

The chosen individual will collaborate closely with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and implement solutions.

To succeed in this role, you will need to optimize data storage and retrieval mechanisms to ensure performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

You will also be responsible for implementing data governance and security best practices to ensure compliance and data integrity.

Additionally, you will troubleshoot and debug data pipeline issues, providing timely resolution and proactive monitoring.

In this dynamic role, you will stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance data engineering capabilities.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Prior experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing and building data pipelines, is essential. A minimum of 6-10 years of relevant experience is required.

Experience with Databricks and Spark in at least two end-to-end data engineering implementations is also necessary.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the Databricks products and ecosystem.

Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Scala, or SQL are required. Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts is also essential.

Familiarity with containerization technologies orchestration tools is a plus.
