At a leading automotive company, we are seeking an experienced Door Trim Engineer to lead the engineering design, technical development, and delivery of interior components for new or ongoing program developments.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive designs for interior components.
  • Oversee the ownership and management of commodities and components across various projects.
  • Ensure timely delivery of commodity plans that meet quality, cost, and time requirements, including maintaining the worldwide engineering release system.
  • Own and deliver advanced product quality planning deliverables.
  • Manage change requests, expenditure forecasting, and supplier teams in support of program milestones.
  • Lead design verification test plans, including detailed planning of tests and development stages through to sign off and support engineering test teams with issue rectification.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in resolving business, technical, and process issues within a project team environment.
  • A solid understanding of product creation and delivery, change control, product definition, and change management processes.
  • Knowledge of automotive body cabin systems, plastic, and sheet metal materials, design rules, bill of design, bill of process, DFMEA, DVP, DFM, part, and assembly level tests.
  • Able to create 2D sections and 3D geometry using Catia V5/V6/TCE/Digibuck.
  • Proficient in using CATIA V5 & V6.
  • Should have good knowledge of domain knowledge, parametric modeling, BOM creation, and update.
  • Should have good GD& T knowledge.
  • A proven track record of delivering results within the automotive sector.
  • Should have good knowledge of Enovia, Teamcenter Engineering (TCE), part release process, and system.
  • Engineering expertise in defined component(s)/system(s) design, function, performance, production, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
  • PC Literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.

  • BE/B. Tech, ME in Mechanical/Production/Automotive Engineering.
