Job Title: Interior Engineering Specialist

Job Description:

  • Responsible for the leadership of sub systems and deliverables for all aspects of defined components / systems within the Cockpit Console commodities and Interior Trims.
  • Deliver system, sub-system and component solutions that meet cost, weight and quality targets.
  • Develop and maintain design validation plans, including in-house and supplier testing plans, to ensure development sign off tests are completed on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish, plan and run engineering sub system meetings to ensure appropriate cross functional representation and input from all relevant areas.
  • Ensure progression of design maturity from initial concept through to Engineering Sign-Off and design gateways.
  • Establish and maintain teamwork plans aligned to vehicle programs.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of system, sub-system and components.
  • Define engineering targets to meet function, quality & attribute requirements for the Vehicle Program.

Requirements:

  • Proven project management capability demonstrated by recent delivery in line with time, cost, quality & attribute targets.
  • Proven and extensive experience in right first-time development and integration of at least one of the following - Cockpit Console commodities and Interior Trims.
  • Detailed engineering knowledge of design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with demonstrable ability of communicating with cross functional teams and influencing at all levels.
  • PC literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel.
  • Significant experience in use of engineering tools - FMEA, Agile or Scrum.

Qualification: BE/B. Tech, ME in Mechanical/Production/Automotive Engineering
