Mainframe Cobol Developer Position

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Cobol developer to join our team.

  • Mainframe Cobol Development: Develop, maintain and enhance COBOL applications that meet business requirements.
  • JCL Scripting: Create and maintain JCL scripts to manage batch jobs for data processing.
  • DB2 Querying: Design and develop DB2 queries to interact with databases, ensuring optimal performance.
  • VSAM File Management: Work with VSAM files to store and retrieve data efficiently.
  • CICS Application Development: Develop and maintain CICS-based applications, ensuring seamless communication between online programs and data resources.

Banking Domain Knowledge:

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in the banking domain and be familiar with banking regulations, business processes, and security standards.

  • Data Accuracy and Consistency: Ensure data accuracy and consistency in financial transactions, account management, and payment systems.
  • Compliance: Stay informed about changes in the banking domain and ensure the software complies with industry standards and regulations.

Agile Methodology:

  • Daily Standups: Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features incrementally and meet sprint goals.

Work Mode and Notice Period:

This is a contract-to-hire position. Immediate joiners who can start by the third week of September are preferred.

Key Skills:

Please note that this job requires working from 1.00 PM to 10.30 PM IST.
