Job Title: Capital Markets Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team in the EMEA region, supporting credit and market risk functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of daily credit and market risk reports.
  • Production of risk analysis and inputs for management committee packs.
  • Review and distribution of limit breach notifications.
  • Credit analysis of new and existing clients.
  • Support on ad hoc queries related to limit utilisation and counterparty requests.
  • Provision of margin rates and monitoring of margin levels, escalating issues as required.
  • Assistance to colleagues in the absence of risk analysts or market risk leads.
  • Training of graduate analysts rotating through the team.
  • Support for ad hoc risk initiatives and projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of capital markets fundamentals, including mark-to-market and settlement processes.
  • Knowledge and experience of equity and fixed income products.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience in writing macros is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of balance sheets and income statements is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree (2:1 minimum) in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also be highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
