Job Summary:

As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in our organization's security operations by developing and implementing effective use cases to detect and respond to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement use cases to detect and respond to security incidents using advanced threat intelligence and analytics tools.
  • Understand log formats, sources, and parsing for accurate data utilization in use cases.
  • Familiarity with SIEM and analytics tools like Securonix, Sentinel, or Splunk to monitor and implement use cases.
  • Define thresholds, logic, and conditions to reduce false positives and improve detection accuracy using Alert Logic.
  • Align use cases with incident response workflows to provide actionable intelligence.
  • Track detection and response performance by creating and optimizing KPI/KRI reports.
  • Refine use cases and adjust logic periodically by analyzing alert data and developing a fine-tuning methodology.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to detect and respond to company-wide security incidents.
  • Lead incident response for high-impact cybersecurity incidents.
  • Triage events, escalations, and incidents to determine remediation and resolution actions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience required for this role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
