Editorial Team Role: US Sports News Editor

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Sports Content Editor to join our team. As a key member of the editorial team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively edit and publish 20-25 articles daily to meet news cycle requirements
  • Proofread articles for grammatical and factual errors to ensure high-quality content
  • Research facts and verify their accuracy to uphold credibility
  • Publish articles in a timely fashion for priority news-based articles to maintain publication schedules
  • Mentor and guide writers to refine their quality and performance to improve overall team productivity
  • Ensure smooth daily operations of writers in the sport division to maintain team cohesion
  • Undertake other key duties as instructed by the Editorial Team Lead to support team objectives

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6-12 months of experience in proofreading and/or content editing to possess necessary skills
  • Prior experience leading a team of writers is an additional asset to leadership capabilities
