Senior Program Manager, Sustainable Agriculture, Food, Land and Water Program, Leadership Position

About the Role:
The Senior Program Manager, Sustainable Agriculture, Food, Land and Water Program, will lead the development of a proof of concept at sub-national agroclimatic zone levels for the implementation of the Doubling of Farmer Incomes report and the agriculture support programs and schemes within the framework of the National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture using agroecological principles.
This position requires a strong understanding of sustainable agricultural practices and familiarity with related policies, schemes, and programs in India and at sub-national levels, especially for central India.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 to 12 years of experience with government or civil society dealing with program management on agriculture, experience in managing multi-partner programs, and demonstrated ability to work with efficiency as part of a team effort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a detailed program implementation framework with sectoral experts and other core partners.
- Coordinate program activities and reporting to ensure the achievement of milestones within the planned timeline.
- Support fundraising and scaling up of the program.
- Steer the development of measurements for monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
Requirements:
- Master's or equivalent degree in agriculture.
- Strong research and communication skills.
- Ability to present complex information.
- Track record in partner engagement, preparing program reports, and developing work plans.
- Relationship management skills at a senior state and landscape level.
- Full fluency in written English and Hindi.
