Manufacturing Engineer

Overview:

  • As a manufacturing engineer, you will be responsible for end-to-end supplier management and technology mapping.

Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Identification and Evaluation: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on capability, quality, and cost.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless product development and launch.
  • Product and Process Development: Lead part and assembly development from concept to production, prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and design and develop jigs, fixtures, and tools.
  • Manufacturing Process Expertise: Apply knowledge of component manufacturing processes to optimize production, conduct time studies, takt time calculations, and line balancing, and design and layout production lines for optimal efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive improvement initiatives such as Value Stream Mapping, Value Engineering, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, and SMART Projects, and implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve productivity.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling.
  • Proficiency in design software for jig, fixture, and tool development.
  • Experience with lean tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, coordination, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and lead improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
