Senior Leader Job Description

The primary goal of this role is to lead and strategize the entire personal loan credit underwriting process.

This entails overseeing the entire lending cycle, from initial application to final decision-making.

The right candidate will have a deep understanding of risk management principles, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop Risk Management Strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective risk management strategies that minimize potential losses.
  2. Analyze Underwriting Models: Work closely with data scientists to develop and refine underwriting models that accurately assess creditworthiness.
  3. Establish Performance Benchmarks: Develop and implement performance metrics to measure underwriting effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Implement Process Improvements: Streamline processes to reduce manual intervention and increase efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
  5. Pricing and Segmentation: Determine accurate pricing based on segmentation analysis and customer profiling.
  6. Policy Standardization: Develop and implement standardized policies and procedures to ensure consistency across the organization.
  7. Portfolio Monitoring: Regularly review portfolio performance to identify high-risk segments and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.

  • Understand Partner Products: Research and understand new partner products and target segments.
  • Data Negotiation: Identify required data and negotiate its provision at application time.
  • Create Policies: Develop policies based on products, available information, and prevailing models.
  • Facilitate Data Room Exercises: Facilitate data room exercises for new customer segments.
  • Formulate Policies: Formulate policies considering expected loss rates.
  • Monitor Policy Implementation: Monitor policy implementation, UAT, and production test runs, clearing bottlenecks if any.

Relationship Management:

Foster strong relationships with partners, credit reporting agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
