Mortgage Review Specialist Opportunity

  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of mortgage loan files by performing a thorough review of income, assets, credit, and collateral.
  • Utilize advanced data entry systems to guarantee precise information input.
  • Underwrite loans according to client guidelines, using automated underwriting systems or manual processes.
  • Evaluate and verify overall loan documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve potential red flags or alerts in a timely manner.
  • Make informed loan decisions and issue conditions accordingly.
  • Review and approve conditions for compliance and completion of loan files.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with client and investor requirements.
  • Address pre- and post-closing issues related to underwriting.
Required Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of income calculations, tax returns, reading credit reports, and identifying red flags.
  • Basic understanding of appraisals and ability to recognize ineligible properties and red flags.
  • Thorough working knowledge of GSE underwriting guidelines and automated underwriting engines.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong time management capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset and willingness to collaborate.
  • Proficiency in multiple systems and technology platforms.
  • Security clearance and adherence to strict security protocols.
