Renewable Energy Land Professional

We seek a seasoned professional to lead our renewable energy land acquisition efforts in Maharashtra. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in identifying and securing suitable land parcels for wind, solar, and other clean energy projects, ensuring technical feasibility, connectivity, and regulatory compliance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Land Identification and Acquisition: Identify and secure suitable land parcels, considering factors such as technical feasibility, connectivity, and regulatory clearances.
  • Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end land acquisition process, including scouting, negotiation, documentation, registration, and project delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local landowners, agents, revenue officials, district-level authorities, and government departments to ensure successful project execution.
  • Title Due Diligence: Conduct thorough title due diligence to ensure legal sanctity of land through coordination with internal legal teams.
  • Right-of-Way Acquisition: Oversee the acquisition of RoW (Right of Way) for infrastructure development, mutation, land conversion, and compliance with state-specific renewable energy policies.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure clear documentation, including agreements to sale, lease deeds, power of attorney, and land maps, while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Market Research: Stay up-to-date on local land price trends, zoning regulations, and state incentives to negotiate cost-effective deals.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise a team of land officers, surveyors, and external consultants to achieve project objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and conflicts during the land acquisition process.
  • Progress Reporting: Regularly update management on project progress, risk factors, and mitigation plans to ensure informed decision-making.
