EDI Integration Specialist Job Description

As an EDI integration specialist, you will play a critical role in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting EDI solutions using IBM Sterling to support seamless electronic data interchange with business partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and Maintain EDI Solutions: Utilize IBM Sterling to configure and maintain EDI solutions for seamless electronic data interchange with trading partners.
  • Integrate EDI with Order Management Systems (OMS): Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EDI with OMS, ensuring efficient order processing, inventory management, and fulfillment.
  • Manage EDI Mapping and Translation: Manage and support EDI mapping, translation, and communication processes with trading partners.
  • Onboard and Test EDI Connections: Work with customers and external partners to onboard, test, and maintain EDI connections.
  • Resolve EDI-Related Issues: Monitor and resolve EDI-related issues, including transmission errors, mapping discrepancies, and communication failures.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis of EDI failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and company-specific EDI requirements.
  • Maintain Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including EDI mapping specifications, system configurations, and workflows.

This role requires an individual with a strong understanding of EDI standards, experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a passion for EDI and a desire to work with a dynamic team.
