About the Role

This 6-month contract role is designed to support and empower women in their transition back to the workforce. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvement in procurement processes, developing and expanding partner base for a region/category of spend, maintaining and enhancing good relationships with internal and external stakeholders, assessing automation needs in procurement processes; making recommendations and driving automation/business process reengineering initiatives, negotiating with partners on commercial and contract terms, interacting with business stakeholders and keeping them informed on the progress of their projects, tracking progress toward goals and documenting performance on key performance indicators, and driving continuous process improvement to optimize cost/increase value.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement in procurement processes and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
2. Partner Development: Develop and expand partner base for a region/category of spend, ensuring strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
3. Stakeholder Management: Maintain and enhance good relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business leaders, suppliers, and vendors.
4. Automation and Innovation: Assess automation needs in procurement processes and make recommendations for automation/business process reengineering initiatives.
5. Negotiation and Commercial Acumen: Negotiate with partners on commercial and contract terms, ensuring favorable outcomes for the organization.
6. Project Management: Interact with business stakeholders and keep them informed on the progress of their projects, ensuring timely completion and meeting expectations.
7. Performance Monitoring: Track progress toward goals and document performance on key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
8. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous process improvement to optimize cost/increase value, ensuring the organization remains competitive and agile.

• Established academic record and previous job experience
