Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Overview:

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale data processing systems, leveraging expertise in data warehousing concepts, strategies, and tools. The successful candidate will collaborate with business users and other stakeholders to understand business processes and develop high-performance data processing pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design scalable data solutions.
  2. Develop and implement dimensional and fact tables to support data analysis and decision-making.
  3. Collaborate with data scientists to integrate machine learning models into data pipelines.
  4. Design and implement data transformation and cleansing requirements to ensure data quality and integrity.
  5. Develop and maintain high-performance data processing pipelines using cloud-based technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Requirements:

  • Strong background in SQL and relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in GCP & Google BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Composer (Airflow), Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Function, and GCS.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud platforms.
  • Experience with leading a team spread across multiple locations.
