Job Title: Operations Support Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the high availability and reliability of our products. Your key responsibilities will include monitoring service health telemetry, responding to system availability alerts, and providing on-call support for application alerts.

  • Monitor CPU/mem alerts, storage & disk drive alerts, and app/service state alerts
  • Review & remediate app performance alerts, remediate maintenance job failures, & troubleshoot auto remediation jobs/scripts when not successful
  • Drive product towards higher avail/reliability by providing on-call support on a rotating schedule for incident escalations
  • Proactively raise SRE cases for engineering review when problem patterns noted via monitoring
  • Support internal SRE, Engg & Field teams via JIRA Service Management requests which may include perf troubleshooting, config management, & other day-to-day ops tasks

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Service Monitoring & Response: Monitor service health telemetry, respond to system availability alerts, & provide on-call support for application alerts
  2. Alert Remediation & Troubleshooting: Review & remediate app performance alerts, remediate maintenance job failures, & troubleshoot auto remediation jobs/scripts when not successful
  3. On-Call Support: Provide on-call support on a rotating schedule for incident escalations & drive product towards higher availability & reliability
  4. SRE Case Management: Proactively raise SRE cases for engineering review when problem patterns noted via monitoring
  5. Team Collaboration: Support internal SRE, Engg & Field teams via JIRA Service Management requests which may include perf troubleshooting, config management, & other day-to-day ops tasks

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree: B-Tech degree required

Modern Application Development-DevOps (MODAD): Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

Nice to Have: Experience with modern application development tools & methodologies

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication & problem-solving skills, be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, & be willing to learn & adapt quickly to new technologies & processes
