Data Engineer Position

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable data pipelines using Google Cloud stack technologies.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data extraction, analysis, visualization, problem-solving, performance optimization, and automation.

  • Data Extraction & Analysis:
    • Work with Google BigQuery / Google SQL to query and manipulate data.
    • Develop scripts in Python, Go, or Perl to extract, transform, and update datasets.
    • Experience with MapReduce frameworks is an advantage.
  • Data Visualization:
    • Build reports and dashboards using Google Analytics and Google Looker Studio.
    • Create effective visualizations to present findings and communicate insights clearly.
  • Problem Solving & Pipeline Development:
    • Identify data engineering requirements and design scalable data pipelines.
    • Use data to propose solutions and actionable recommendations.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Analyze SQL queries and stored procedures to enhance query performance.
    • Apply techniques such as Indexing, Partitioning, Parallel Processing, Caching, Efficient Storage Formats (Parquet/ORC), and In-memory Computing.
  • Scheduling & Automation:
    • Schedule and manage workflows using tools like Airflow, Dreampipe, or similar job schedulers.
  • Release Engineering:
    • Support on-demand and scheduled release management processes for data pipelines.
