Senior Supply Chain Specialist

Job Summary:
The Procurement Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless supply chain for the plant's operations. This includes buying forging, casting & precise machined parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality standards are met and prices are negotiated effectively.
- Conduct vendor evaluations, assess their capabilities, and upgrade them as necessary to meet organizational requirements.
- Ensure accurate costing of materials and collaborate with the plant and operations teams for material supply.
- Implement efficient inventory management systems to guarantee a constant supply of materials or equipment.
- Lead the procurement process from initial enquiry to final contract award, including preparing estimates, invitations to bid, commercial evaluations, and post-award activities.
- Manage internal documentation for approval, track purchase spend, cost savings, on-time delivery, and vendor payments.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and represent the organization in dealings with vendors and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and maintain accurate records of vendor information.
- Determine the quality, quantity, and timely delivery of materials while staying updated on government policies and guidelines.
