Optimization Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Optimization Specialist to join our team. As an Optimization Specialist, you will be responsible for applying numerical optimization techniques to large, unstructured data sets to solve complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and lead the application of optimization techniques on large datasets to achieve desired results in a computationally efficient and statistically effective manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy optimization-based solutions that drive business outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of data science capabilities that drive innovation and growth.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and define our analytics platform.
  • Develop select assets/accelerators that create scale and efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 6-9 years of relevant experience in optimization, machine learning, and data science.
  • Strong understanding of linear programming, convex optimization, non-linear programming, and other optimization topics.
  • Experience with data science concepts, algorithms, and tools.
  • Relevant programming background, including Python and R.
  • Understanding of agile project planning and project management principles.
