Backend Systems Engineer

We're seeking a skilled Backend Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will design and implement robust backend systems, solve complex technical challenges, and optimize performance.

This role requires strong clean coding practices, peer reviews, and agile development. You will work closely with developers to implement features with quality and collaborate effectively to deliver on-time results with a focus on quality output.

  • Implement features through performant and maintainable code with appropriate test coverage.
  • Design and implement low-level designs following best practices.
  • Perform effective code reviews for peers.
  • Consider customer experience and product performance in implementation.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Java, Go, or Kotlin.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and data structures.
  • Experience in implementing algorithms to solve real-world problems.
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining backend systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize backend systems for better performance.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Knowledge of security best practices for backend services and API endpoints.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new and complex development environments.
